Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

Hi-Low systems vary--Review your situation before deciding which one works best for you

Approach 1: Tray attachment:

Attach to tray inserts on the underside of the tray.

CAUTION-- The load rating of the inserts has not been tested. Be careful if you are attaching a Dual Arm mount with an eye-gaze system attached and extended our very far.

How to mount:

Custom solution:

Drill holes in the square tube shown or another metal section. Attach the Adapter Plate to the Square tube. Attach an L-Angle to the Adapter Plate, and secure the horizontal Wheelchair Bracket of the Post Extension Kit (the one the horizontal post is sliding in) to the L-Angle so the Post can extend out to the side of the seat, with the lateral Wheelchair Bracket in a vertical position.
