Invacare 9000 frame
Create a Bridge clamp with two clamps and an Adapter Plate 2. Horizontal tube is 1"; vertical tube is 7/8".
Bridge clamp is installed. Note position of brake handle. The post needs to be positioned forward or to the outside with an offset.
Attach an L-angle extension to offset the Wheelchair bracket forward, away from the brake. Your set-up may differ.
The Solid Wheelchair Bracket is attached to the front of the L-Angle Extension so the brake may be used. This person does not use their footrests.

Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

Use a Bridge clamp (7/8") on the vertical tube and a round clamp (1")  on the horizontal tube to span the two tube sizes.  Then use an  Adapter Plate (AP2) to create a bridge across the two clamps. Use offsets as needed to avoid interfering with brakes, armrests and footrests.
