Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

Option #1:  Mount the two 1" collar clamps on the downward slope tubing.  Bridge across the clamps with an adapter plate (WC-AP4 or WC-AP2).  Use a Angle Adjust Plate to correct the angle so the post can be mounted vertical.

Option #2:  Use WC-RMixed-Set  Bridge Clamps for the initial attachment to the wheelchair tubing (vertical tube and curved smaller tube) if the wheelchair has the swing away foot hanger

Option #3:   Attach the WC-AP4  to the 'through' holes in the horizontal tubing.  Chase out the holes so that they are slightly larger to accept the included bolts and nuts.
