Ki Catalyst frame has different potential spots for a Bridge Clamp, but the brake may make the upper option difficult.
The recommended spot for a Bridge clamp; an Adapter plate and two collar clamps (1.125") form the Bridge. An Angle Adjust plate and L-Angle Extension may be used to offset it so it doesn't interfere with the brakes.

Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

Attach using a Bridge Clamp on the lower horizontal tube and the vertical tube, below the footrest hardware The lower tubing on this chair is 1.125".  The upper tubing and front vertical tubing is 1".  Two size collar clamps will be used, attaching to an Adapter Plate 4 or adapter plate 2. Because the Adapter Plate needs to attach at an angle, the Angle Adjustment plate will be used to orient the Wheelchair Bracket and post to a vertical orientation. If needed, and L-angle extension plate is attached to the AAP to offset the Wheelchair Bracket away from the brakes.
