iChair

The Meyra iChair has tracks on the inside face of the seat frame.
Insert 4 nuts inside the seat frame track. Note: we are not sure the standard square nuts we supply will work. You may need to get iChair-specific nuts.
Determine the preferred orientation of the plate. Remember to leave two threaded fasteners available below the seat frame, for attaching an L-Angle Extension Plate.
Try the Adapter Plate in various orientations. Try to position it so 4 bolts and nuts can be used.
Attach the L-Angle Extension Plate in one of 2 ways: to an Adapter Plate (preferred, so you get 4 screws attached); or directly to one of the channels, with just 2 screws. You need a second L-AE in order to attach the Wheelchair Bracket vertically.

Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

The inside of the seat frame has a double set of tracks, similar to the Permobil Unitrack.  Attach an Adapter Plate 2 to as many as 4 nuts inside the track.

Offset it laterally, to the outside of the seat frame using two L-Angle Extension plates.

Manufacturer parts:

The hardware included in the Adapter Plate 2 kit may not work in the track channels. If not, use 3-4 Meyra track nuts to attach the AP2.
