Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

The Adapter Plate 2 (AP2) or AP4 attach to the Unitrack. Four supplied bolts and nuts are assembled with the Adapter Plate into specfic holes that align with the Unitrack.

The end cap on the Unitrack is removed. Before inserting the bolts and nuts, determine the preferred Adapter Plate orientation and placement, based on the threaded hole placement for attachment of the Wheelchair Bracket. The thigh support hardware may need to be adjusted to make room for the plate.

The bolts are inserted into the Adapter Plate, and nuts are threaded loosely onto the bolts. The nuts are inserted into the track and the Adapter Plate is moved to the preferred location. The bolts are secured, and Offsets and the Wheelchair Bracket are attached. The end cap is replaced.
