Attach the Adapter Plate 4 to the slot in the plate. Orient the AP4 vertically, using two bolts through the larger hole and slot on the AP4, through the slot on the welded plate..
Either 8mm or 5/16" bolts may be used with lock nuts.
Add an L-Angle extension to get around the armrest.

Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

Attach an Adapter Plate 4 through the 8.5mm slot on the plate the brakes attach to. The plate is 6.4mm thick. Use either M8 bolts and lock nuts, or 5/16" bolts and lock nuts. Orient the AP4 vertically, with the hole and slot end on the top end, attaching it to the brake plate slot.

Use an L-Angle Extension plate to offset the Wheelchair Bracket from the armrests and brake handle.
