Walker

Attach the Round clamp to the tube, attaching the Angle Adjustment Plate at the same time.
Attach the Wheelchair Bracket to the set of holes on the Angle Adjustment Plate that result in a vertical post placement.
Approach 2: Use Collar clamps and an Adapter Plate 2. Attach in a hole and slot, so you can adjust the AP2 orientation for a vertical Wheelchair Bracket.
The device is attached to a Tilt'n Turner to minimize any instability caused by the device.
This young man has a Single Arm on his wheelchair, and a Tilt'n Turner on his walker. He can remove and transfer his device from one to the other.

Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

Attach a 1" Round Clamp to the downward-sloping tube, making sure not to interfere with folding. Use an Angle Adjustment Plate so the Wheelchair Bracket is mounted vertically.

CAUTION: Walkers are light-weight, so they can easily tip if there is a load outside the footprint of the base. If you use a Dual Arm or Single Arm, the device can be moved outside the base footprint. A Tilt'n Turner is safer  and move stable. The person using it needs to have good judgment when they move the other mounts.
