Approach 1: Use a T-nut in the track if available; Approach 2: Attach a Round clamp to the front side of the long vertical tube of the footrest hanger. In both cases, use offsets as needed to better locate the Wheelchair Bracket.
If a person typically sits at an angled position as shown here, include an Angle Adjustment plate and use it to position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is vertical in the position the person uses in transit.

Offset options

Offsets attach to the wheelchair attachment hardware, and are used to:

  • Get around obstacles such as trays, brakes, footrests and armrests
  • Position the Wheelchair Bracket so the post is in the optimal position (post can be inserted and removed, brakes are unobstructed, footrests removed, accommodate the tray, etc)
  • Adjust the angle of the hardware and/or bracket to make sure the post is vertical

These plates can all be used to offset. To figure out which offset plate will work for you, see our Offset Guide.

How to mount:

If the wheelchair has a track system, use a T-Nut. Attach an Adapter Plate or L-Angle extension plate if it is necessary to offset the Wheelchair Bracket location due to armrests or footrests.
